Using this analogy, we can understand that conflict can arise due to a breakdown in communication, where two parties are on different pages on the same topic. Having the kōrero is critical to not only seeing face to face but also in being eye to eye.
Once a year, Shincheonji hosts an "Open House" event where they invite the public to come into their church. This year, people were invited in with the kaupapa of getting to know the church for what it is - without the veil of exaggerations, just simply as it is.
Throughout the year Shincheonji spends time investing in the community and shining their light as a church through local activities such as community outreach, Bible seminars, and promotional days. The increase of promotional days is to increase the public perception to the true reality of the church rather than what they are perceived and falsely persecuted due to misunderstanding. Consider yourself - would you prefer assumptions made from your character based off of rumor and speculation or to be judged objectively?
Being able to keep up online with what Shincheonji is doing and it's work encourages me to live out my life of faith in a way that truly honours God. Following the news of well thought out community work targeted at individuals that are marginalized in society, people who don't have necessary access to governmental help, and those who wish to grow in their knowledge and understanding of the Bible spurs me on. I'm genuinely looking forward to seeing what the future holds for Shincheonji and what events they put together in the months to come.
